Dark Star is a characterful lo-fi reverb, ideal for slow attack and pad generation. Around the core voice are a number of controls for signal degradation, filtering, pitch shifting, added delay, and utilities like mix and volume. For integration into many different rigs, Dark Star has stereo in and out with analog dry through and trails or true bypass switching. Presets, expression control over every knob, and MIDI control over every element round out the robust feature set. This is a reverb for anywhere in your signal chain, and almost an instrument of its own.
Controls
Filter to set a low pass or high pass filter on the reverb
Pitch 1 andPitch 2 to set two independent pitch shifts from -2 octaves to +2 octaves
Crush to introduce either sample rate reduction or overdrive
Lag to introduce additional delay to the reverb
Multiply to add feedback to the whole system, enhancing effects like rising and falling pitch shifts
Decay to set the main trail length of the reverb
Volume to set overall volume
Mix to set effect blend from 100% dry to 100% wet
Spread to simultaneously pan left and right in opposite directions
Aux switch to indefinitely sustain trails, close the low pass filter, or set the pitches to +1 octave, depending on setting
Soft-touchBypass footswitch for true bypass and minimal switch noise
