ALEXANDER PEDALS Neo Link

Get total control over your Neo Series pedals with the Neo Link.

This simple passive interface allows you to connect up to four Neo Series pedals together using standard TRS cables. Once connected, you can use the pedal plugged into the Master port to control the program selections of the others. If you have a MIDI controller, you can connect it to the MIDI Input port to get even more comprehensive control.

The Neo Link operates in two modes:

MASTER:  Connect any Neo Series pedal to the red jack marked 1 / Master.  Changing presets on the master pedal will cause all other connected Neo Series pedals to change their presets to match.

LINK:  Connect a MIDI controller to the MIDI IN jack.  The Neo Link will send MIDI from this port to any connected Neo Series pedal.  Use Link mode to control each connected pedal separately on its own MIDI channel if desired.

SPECIFICATIONS:

3.94" x 1.97" x 1.00″ (100 x 50 x 25.5mm) excluding jack nuts
Four 1/4" Control Ports connect to Neo Series units using standard TRS cables
One 5-pin MIDI input compatible with most MIDI controllers
Neo Link does not require power

Internal jumper allows the 1/MASTER jack to receive MIDI from another Neo Link, Chase Bliss / Disaster Area MIDIBox, or MIDI controller using a 1/4" cable.  Set this jumper to CHAIN to use jack 1 as the MIDI input, or to MASTER for all other applications.

The Neo Link will also work with other brands of pedals that receive MIDI using a 1/4" jack including Empress and Meris.
The Neo Link will work with Chase Bliss Audio pedals, but requires a TRS reverse cable such as the Disaster Area MJ-CBA.  Please note that since the Chase Bliss pedals do not have a MIDI output, they will not retransmit MIDI to other devices in the MIDI chain and should be placed in the highest numbered jack on the Neo Link.

CONFIGURING YOUR NEO PEDALS TO USE NEO LINK:

MASTER:

  • Connect the MultiJack of each pedal to the Neo Link using a standard TRS cable.
  • The pedal connected to the red jack labeled 1 / Master will be the master pedal.
  • Power on the pedal connected to jack 2 while holding down its center Select button. Release the button when the pedal LED turns violet.
  • Tap the Select button of the pedal in jack 2 until the upper small LED is RED.
  • Hold the Select button to save.
  • Power the pedal in jack 2 off and on again while holding the center Select button. Release the button when the pedal LED turns violet.
  • Hold down the Bypass footswitch of the Master pedal. The upper small LED of the pedal in jack 2 should blink.
  • Hold down the center select button of the pedal in jack 2 to save.
  • Repeat these steps for the pedals connected in jacks 3 and 4 if connected.

LINK:

  • Connect the MultiJack of each pedal to the Neo Link using a standard TRS cable.
  • Connect the MIDI output of your MIDI controller to the MIDI input jack of the Neo Link.
  • Power on the pedal connected to jack 1 while holding down its center Select button. Release the button when the pedal LED turns violet.
  • Tap the Select button of the pedal in jack 1 until the upper small LED is RED.
