The big change from the old model to this new Xotic Effects Robotalk RI is the upgrade to two individual envelope filter channels. Each of the channels of this envelope filter is voiced differently (B channel is voiced with more midrange than A) and can be dialed in to create your individual style of funk, times 2. Also you can blend the channels together for even more tones and the dip switches on the inside of the unit allow even more sonic customization. Also adjustable inside the Xotic Effects Robotalk RI are dip switches for active and passive signals.

The big knobs on the Xotic Effects Robotalk 2 are for Channel B - Sensitivity and Decay and Channel A - Sensitivity and Decay. The smaller knobs control Channel B Resonance and Volume, Direct Volume, Channel B Resonance and Volume.
