A nod to the classic, yet forgotten Jen Jumbo Fuzz, the Rainier Fuzz is a raw, loud, and extremely fun fuzz to experiment with. The circuit has been modernized and stabalized, with the Germanium gate circuit being controlled by a toggle and knob to allow you to insert or delete that part of the tone.
High quality stomp switch: nickel plated lugs, phenolic plastic casing, precision engineered switching mechanism, high-tension spring for smooth stomping
Enclosure printed in USA
Hand wired and assembled in California
Hand selected vintage NOS Germanium transistor
Standard negative ground power--this pedal plays nicely with others!
We always recommend isolated power supplies. If you daisy chain effects on one supply (ours can handle that despite being Germanium PNP powered), you may inject noise, ripple, ground loop hum, etc. This effect requires 9v, center negative power. In other words, the industry standard power supply.
Input on right side, output to amp on left
True-bypass stomp switch is on/off, indicated by LED
"Ring" control closest to input side controls the fuzz effect volume, louder is clockwise
"Bark" controls the amount of fuzz, more fuzz is clockwise
"Girth" controls the tone of the effect; clockwise is more treble, counterclockwise is more bass
"Peak" controls the gated component of the fuzz (note: the germanium gate circuit reacts heavily on your guitar, pick attack, and other settings. What it sounds like at noon on one setting combo will not necessarily sound the same on another setting)
"Gate" toggle controls the presence of the germanium gate circuit; up is in, down is completely out
"Cut" adds mids back in at the up position, stock in the down position
