CASTLEDINE ELECTRONICS Olympic Fuzz

The Olympic series is named for Olympic Sound Studios in Barnes, London, where Jimi Hendrix recorded Axis: Bold as Love in 1967. The mic preamps at the Barnes studio used an unusual three-transistor circuit, which appears to have been the inspiration for the some of the custom effects boxes developed for Hendrix during those recording sessions.

The Silicon Fuzz is simplified to two transistors and as the name implies, uses only silicon devices. It is similar to the well known Axis Fuzz, but has more gain, volume and low end.
