The Alien Twister is a Fuzz, Distortion, Overdrive pedal with a built in buffer. The Twister comes in a cloth satchel and is packed in it’s own branded wooden box and includes a bottle of Chips favorite Hot Sauce. With an output that reaches unity gain at 10 O’ Clock this pedal has plenty of power to blow the doors off of all your favorite venues.

Pedal Features:

Input Control:The Input Control adjusts the level of the signal that is sent to the input of AT and is a very handy feature to have on a fuzz pedal. It not only makes the AT more versatile, but when combined with the stab control, it offers you, the guitarist, a greater spectrum of tonal possibilities.

Output Control:The Output Control sets the amount of output signal that is sent to your amp. Let me warn you that the AT has a lot of output gain – a lot! It reaches unity gain at 10 O’Clock!

Stab Control:The Stab Control adjusts the amount of voltage that is sent to the final transistor stage of the Alien Twister. Turning the Stab Control counter-clockwise to the left decreases the voltage. The more this control is turned to the left, the more the notes will tend to splatter and will have less definition. Turning the Stab Control clockwise to the right increases the voltage level. The result is a stronger sounding fuzz with lots of sustain and greater note definition. The sensitivity of this control depends on how strong your pickups are and how you set the input control on the AT. The Stab Control works hand in glove with the input control. Both can be adjusted to allow you to go from a thick vintage fuzz to a full rich distortion, and finally to an expressive overdrive.

Buffer: You may have read or heard about placing a buffer in your signal chain, but what is a buffer? A buffer is a simple preamp circuit that has a high input impedance and a low output impedance. The buffer adds no gain to the signal, but by converting the impedance from high to low, it gives the signal the strength it needs to make its way through long cable runs, as well as through the circuitry of the other pedals that you may have in your signal chain. A well designed buffer, like the one in the Alien Twister, will accomplish this without loss of tone or signal level.

PLEASE NOTE: Pedal does not include 9v Power Supply in Australia.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0045/0150/4111/products/728a5c0d44090fea4bd4f6404cf51892.jpg?v=1553158081
analog-alien-fuzz-bubble-45
ANALOG ALIEN Fuzz Bubble 45

The Pete side is designed to sound like a vintage tube amp from the 60′s and 70′s. These tones have become legendary in the minds of all rock guitar players. The controls are very simple and straight forward. The output knob controls the effected output level going to your amp. The input level is controlled by your guitar's volume knob – just as it is when you plug into a vintage amp. By adjusting your guitar's volume control you can drastically change the tone and response of the pedal and we encourage you to experiment in this area. The year knob determines the amount of gain you send to the pedals overdrive circuit. By rotating the knob clockwise, towards '77, the sound becomes more distorted producing a rich harmonic texture. This will enhance every note and chord you play, especially power chords…very cool! And just like a vintage tube amp the clarity of each note can still be heard. The circuit is also very touch sensitive responding to your own personal playing style. The tone switch was added to allow you to roll back some of the lower frequencies. Depending on the type of pickups you have in your guitar, this switch can really help put the finishing touches on your sound.

The Jimi side is one of the best sounding fuzz faces on the planet. Just like the Pete side the controls are simple and easy to use. The input pot controls the amount of signal coming into the pedal. The output pot determines the amount of effected signal that is sent to your amp. The Haze control determines the intensity of the fuzz saturation. Unlike a conventional fuzz control, which is typically found on many Fuzz Faces, the haze control and the input control work together in shaping your sound. Depending on how the two are adjusted you can go from a voodoo wall of Fuzz to one of the sweetest sounding overdrives in the galaxy. The tone switch functions identically as it does in the Pete circuit, offering you even more tone shaping flexibility. Don't be afraid to play with your guitar's output control too. Unlike most fuzz faces the Jimi won't get too thin when you turn your guitar's volume down.

The true flexibility of this pedal lies in the fact that we designed both sides to work together. Although they're two different circuits, one can be made to sound similar to the other. In other words there's a little yin and yang thing going on here. That's why the color of the LEDs is reversed. Put it all together and you get the Fuzz Bubble-45!.

PLEASE NOTE: Pedal does not include 9v Power Supply in Australia.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0045/0150/4111/products/2498fd43f0b239275f4eb40b1ee8773c.jpg?v=1553156314
dawner-prince-effects-diktator
DAWNER PRINCE EFFECTS Diktator

Like every diktator, this one is rough too, but it can be soft – it has sweetness, but it also has balls…

It is a unique two channel combination of clean, transparent preamp / booster and rich overdrive / distortion that can work independently.

Features:

Detonator channel is an extremely versatile drive that takes your tone from light crunch, through rich, fat overdrive, all the way to tight distortion. There are individual Volume controls for both effects and a Blend control for the Fuzz that allows the user to mix unaffected signal with the effected fuzz signal.

The joystick controls make the Janus a great option for guitars, vocals, keys, or tracks.

9V DC - 7.38 x 4.70 X 2.75 inches

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0045/0150/4111/products/53a4eeccc25580d59c73db52dbc48691.jpg?v=1554438108
wren-and-cuff-hangman
WREN and CUFF Hangman

The Boss HM-2 was laid to rest in 1991 when the last of the wannabe Marshall-amp in a box pedals rolled off the line…

A puzzling pedal to some and downright hated by others, the funeral was not attended by many and met with a sigh of relief by those who loathed it’s buzz-saw brand of high-gain distortion. However there was a small group of loyal followers that grieved the death of this black and orange beast.

Despite the drop in sales the pedal experienced causing Boss to cease production, a wide swath of bands gave the HM-2 a permanent residence on their pedal-boards. Swedish Death Metal legends like Entombed and Dismember had long ago made it an essential “always on” part of their setup while the Shoegazing bands from My Bloody Valentine to The Jesus and Mary Chain were using it to help craft their walls of distorted guitar noise chaos. Others saw it showing up under the feet of some of the most noted bands that emerged in the now historic grunge-wave of the nineties.

Enter the Wren and Cuff Hang Man 2D, a detailed recreation of Boss’ “Heavy Metal” pedal.

With a circuit more complicated than many digital delays, and the ability for the average person to get an original HM-2 on ebay for pretty cheap, many may wonder why the hell we decided to remake this pedal.
The answer? Because I (Matt) wanted to. As with many of our recreations, it became an obsession and difficult task to really nail the tone. As usual, it went way beyond getting a schematic. It became a task requiring ears and hours.

Also, a hand-wired, hand-loaded, circuit board using 1/4 watt metal film resistors instead of the 1/8 watt carbon film on the original is a nice thing if you like this pedal. The noise floor becomes dramatically less, and colorful overtones become much more apparent. Add to that the usual Wren and Cuff luxuries of 100% mechanical, true hard-wired bypass, rugged all metal Alpha pots mounted directly to the chassis, a Modern and Vintage toggle switch, tough metal enclosure and gorgeous art work… And one can see the value of the Hangman 2 over the original.

(*All of the references below apply to both the original HM-2 and our Hang Man 2D.)
This pedal can go from super compressed, tight, smooth distortion, to a snarling buzz-saw monster that brings out every pick-to-string strike you throw at it. Surprisingly though, one trait it does not possess is the extreme scoop to the mids many associate with “Heavy Metal.” One of the secrets to it’s tone is the somewhat strange configuration of it’s “color mix” section.

There is the “low” knob which functions as one would expect, and a high knob to help shape the tone. But the “high” knob is kind of an odd-ball in how it effects things. The high-mids are tied together so that the high knob is more of a upper-mids to treble control which can make getting great sounds out of it a bit tricky… but this is also the charm of it. It’s not a pedal all will turn on and immediately fall in love with. It’s a pedal that will make you search for the sweet spot between the pedal’s own crunch and the amp it’s being fed into.

Many in the death-metal crowd dime everything, pummel the front end of a solid state or tube amp, then EQ the whole amp around the pedal. But most often the pedal’s output is pushed up hard enough to mesh with an amp’s natural distortion and the high knob jacked up enough to introduce the buzz-saw grind.

In other words, it’s tweaked until one finds the sweet spots lurking inside the Hang Man.

Do an HM-2 search on you tube and you’ll see the difference between those who have learned the hidden tricks of the HM-2, and those who still need some schooling. You’ll hear some of the thickest most brutal sounds a pedal can produce, but you’ll also hear some of the worst “bee trapped in a jar” tones that would make anyone cringe.

Then why recreate a pedal that isn’t instantly awesome to the average user? Because I love it when a seemingly simple pedal makes you get out a shovel and dig for the gold nuggets inside. These are the things no modeler can reproduce. However, the “D” in our HM-2D is there for a reason. It stands for “Deluxe” because of a few tweaks applied to the circuit to make the pedal even more fun.

There is a vintage/modern switch that lets you to reconfigure the clipping diodes allowing you bounce between “stock” at one setting, and a less compressed more overdrive-meets-distortion sound as well as a boost to the output level.

Pick up the Hangman 2D if you dare, and learn why it kicks ass and doesn’t take names.

Bottom line…

This pedal F***ing Rocks.

Hear it!

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0045/0150/4111/products/b6f3be4146f0bae49d5a20484d918651.jpg?v=1554437973
zvex-loop-gate
ZVEX Loop Gate

Gating very complex sounds like fuzz and delay is always a challenge. The Loop Gate™ provides a loop switch with a built-in “perfect” audio gate (high headroom, no distortion, no hiss) that lets you set up a loop of pedals you can switch in and out of your signal path at will, but you have a couple of really fun options to control that loop that include a cross-fade “mix” option as well as creating tremolo-like sounds with “chop” mode. The beauty of introducing a loop into a noise gate is that the device looks at your guitar signal to see when you want to gate. It doesn’t even bother to look at the output from your loop of pedals... that is way too noisy to study. It’s much better to look at the incoming guitar signal to see what’s up, and that’s just what the Loop Gate™ does. This type of compressor gives you precise control and very musical results. This along with a full frequency range means that the GC-2 Limiting Amplifier compressor is well suited for guitar, keyboards, drum machines and, really, anything you can throw at it. The Keeley GC-2 Limiting Amplifier is both musical and transparent. Where our older compressors were based on the CA3080 or the LM13700 and are perfect for that “Compressor Effect” and are still in use by tens of thousands of players, the new Keeley GC-2 is a different style compressor, aimed at being the ultimate in low noise and transparency. Not only can it handle astonishingly large signals, but it has an incredible bandwidth of over 20 KHz. No detail in your guitar’s tone will be lost. The Keeley GC-2 will be a sound investment in your tone–you now have genuine rack-mount quality at your feet.

Compression and Threshold

When musicians use the new Keeley Compressor GC-2, they will be greeted with a sound that is more easily amplified and heard. Using the effect as a limiting amplifier saves your speakers from clipping and distortion. Set the Threshold to look for peaks in your signal and limit distortion from your amplifier or damage to your speakers. Simply watch the Threshold Indicator light to see what type of playing you want to limit; Now achieved, we are proud to offer a true bypass, 100% dry analog path, low noise, 24 bit, high-fidelity reverb processor. AND IT SOUNDS GREAT! Predelay creates distance. How soon or late you hear the first reflection is crucial to crafting the reverberated space. Sometimes you do not want any delay between your note and the reverb. And sometimes, for clarity’s sake, you want the reverb to wait a moment before joining the dry signal. Such a setting would enable short, staccato, single-syllable type expressions to finish articulating before being suffused AND being joined by the tail-end of previously reverberated sounds. But when the illusion of infinite space is required, set your Slapback to zero and you’ll streak vividly away like Dr. David Bowman breaking free of Jupiter’s gravitational pull. A steel string on a steel saddle generates heat with heavy vibrato use, and that heat will expand the metal in your string and cause it to go out of tune. We use brass for our saddles, a softer, warmer-sounding metal, but plate them with a unique hard chrome plating not found on any other guitar bridge.
Hard chrome plating is commonly used to reduce friction and increase wear resistance in parts like piston rings, hydraulic cylinders and bearing surfaces. It generates far less heat with vibrato use and your strings stay better in tune. Although much more expensive to manufacture than plain steel or “decorative chrome” found on other bridges, our saddles’ unique hard chrome-plating aids in lubricity while tuning or actuating the vibrato of an Offset or Bigsby-equipped guitar, ensuring years of consistent performance and accuracy. No other bridge manufacturer uses a plating this durable.

Hardware

All of the screws on our bridges are made from either 18-8 or 316 solid stainless steel. On the 52mm string spacing from E to E, four intonation-adjustment screws are used instead of six, allowing the string to freely go from the saddle to the vibrato without any chance of interference from the front of an intonation screw or back of a baseplate. Each saddle features two drop-in stainless swivels, permitting each of the individual intonation adjustment screws to work independently for precise intonation. The deep saddle string grooves ensure that your strings will never “pop-out” during performance and are slightly fanned out on each end. Instead of around 18 lbs of string tension bearing down on an individual saddle as found on most bridges, our bridge applies over 50 lbs of downward string tension on each saddle. This added tension forced downward transfers more string-to-body energy, which you’ll hear in your guitar acoustically as well as amplified. The saddles accommodate the heavy-gauge strings of Bass VI model guitars and can be used on left-handed guitars as easily as right-handed.

Adjustable

The Mastery Bridge features precisely-curved adjustable saddles that allow you to effortlessly set-up to any common fingerboard radius, from 7.25" onward. Although guitar manufacturers will CNC radius fingerboards to certain specs, it’s the top of the fret that matters and should be measured, and that can change/vary overtime due to slight unevenness and eventual playing wear. Different climactic conditions can move the wood of your neck and not the frets, and depending on how malleable your fretwire is it will move or not move with it, causing slight unevenness. Varying string thickness will also affect the top of the string radius; depending on the thickness of your strings you’ll want to adjust to them accordingly. Heavy-handed players also like our adjustable saddle design because they can easily raise the bass side of the strings slightly for hard-hitting. The saddles eliminate annoying “buzzing” or rattle associated with previous single saddle bridge designs. An adjustable saddle bridge like ours is important for slight tweaking on first install and in the long run.

Tele Baseplate

Our Tele baseplate is CNC water-cut from a solid 304 stainless steel sheet and stamped with our tooling to the specified profile. Our pickup cavity is undersized in tooling and then CNC’d to spec, thus eliminating any unwanted “flange” on the backside and creating a solid, flat surface. Each one is then tumbled to de-burr and break any sharp edges. Our logo is CNC engraved, followed by a series of hand straight-line sanding and bead-blasting. The area above the pickup is buffed to a mirror finish. Our baseplates blend well aesthetically on both vintage and new guitars and are intended for Telecasters with a (4) hole vintage footprint.
Please note: We currently do not offer American Standard or other style baseplates for the Tele Mastery Bridge. We do not offer the Offset Bridge with brass saddles and do not sell saddles individually. This pedal was created out of the desire to have the sound and feel of a vintage Muff style fuzz, with grit, and grind that will sustain for days. Based on the vintage Big Muff Pi variant that utilizes two integrated circuits, with some Greer Amps tweaks (not the standard 4 transistor version), the Tarpit has all of the sounds that one might expect from a Muff style fuzz, and so much more.

The Tarpit is built in a rugged powdercoated aluminum enclosure, with printed graphics, designed by Nick DePartee (an awesome graphic designer, and former guitarist for the band Kutless). We chose the most awesome metallic blue powdercoat color that we could track down, and had the graphics set in black and white. The Tarpit features custom Oxblood control knobs by Davies (these knobs are currently available in a limited supply).

With the Sustain control set low, the Tarpit can get dark, and spitty, with a low gain, almost gated feel. Increasing the Sustain control has a double effect—the Tarpit gets slightly brighter, and the fuzz, sustain, and harmonics all increase. The wide sweep tone control brings a new level of versatility to the Tarpit. Turning the tone control down cuts treble, and boosts bass frequencies; setting the tone control in the middle, or slightly above, allows for full guitar and bass frequencies to come out. If you want to get really crazy, push the tone control higher, and you’ll get into some AM radio type frequencies. The volume control utilizes a slightly later taper on the potentiometer. We did this in an effort to allow the user to get their awesome sustain and fuzz at lower volumes when needed…never fear, though, the Tarpit can get as loud as you need it to!

The Tarpit can run off of a battery, or a standard 2.1mm, negative center pin power supply. We placed the in and out jacks along the top of the pedal, as well as the DC jack, in an effort to help with pedalboard layout. The output jack is closest to the volume control.

The Tarpit features Greer Amps’ lifetime warranty, to the original owner, and is built like a tank. We utilize a custom fabricated board that is over engineered, so that you don’t have to worry about your pedal letting you down. The two integrated circuits are mounted in chip sockets, so if anything ever happens to the chips, they can easily be replaced.

ON TOUR AND IN STUDIO WITH DWEEZIL ZAPPA, JIMBO HART (BASS PLAYER FOR JASON ISBELL), LAUR JOAMETS (GUITARIST FOR STURGILL SIMPSON), AND MANY MORE!

Vintage Muff tones, ranging from spitty fuzz to over the top sustain!

Wide sweep tone control, for boosted bass tones, or peaked out highs!

Based on a rare, vintage Big Muff Pi, utilizing two IC's, instead of the normal transistorized version!

Beautiful blue metallic powdercoated enclosure!

Black and white printed graphics, designed by Nick DePartee (former guitarist for Kutless)!

Limited Oxblood colored Davies control knobs!

Hand wired in Athens, GA!

True Bypass!

Uses 9Volt battery or standard neg. center, 2.1mm power supply.

Built with top quality components.

The Skreddy Pedals™ Cephalopod is not a troublesome or ill-tempered octave effect. The MC-3 also supports control change number sending and therefore it can be used not only in various applications such as program recalling on a connected device but also as a Tap tempo entry controller for an effects unit or as a channel switching footswitch for a MIDI amplifier.

MAIN FEATURES

Compact programmable MIDI controller easy to use

When in Mode-1 (program change number send mode), any channel can be selected from channels 1–16 for sending of a program change number (1–128).

When in Mode-2 (preset mode), control change numbers can be selected in addition to program change numbers, enabling more flexible sound system creation.

With support for control change number sending, the MC-3 can be used in a wide variety of applications including as a tap tempo entry controller for an effects unit or a channel switching footswitch for a MIDI amplifier.

Can be powered by a 9-volt battery (006P) or a standard 9 VDC AC adapter.

*Estimated operating time in normal use – manganese battery: approximately 10 hours; alkaline battery: approximately 35 hours.

MAIN SPECIFICATIONS

Terminal: MIDI OUT (DIN 5-pin connector)

Power supply: 9 V battery (006P) or AC adapter

Consumption current: max. 25 mA /9 VDC

Dimensions (W x D x H, incl. protuberances such as footswitches): 120 x 95.7 x 54.1 mm (4.72 x 3.77 x 2.13 inches)

Weight (excl. battery): approx. 315 g (0.69 lbs)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0045/0150/4111/products/ac2b9e8c4e0ec915572e631cc2b24182.jpg?v=1553160473
jhs-muffuletta
JHS Muffuletta

The Big Muff fuzz has been around so long, been on so many classic recordings, and been through so many variations that every guitarist out there has a favorite version of its iconic tone. Or let’s say, I was trying to find a short cut and struck gold. In modifying the circuit I came across a way to have variable gain on different parts of the frequency response. The rather small change isn’t ground breaking, but I’ve never seen it done this way in a tube screamer type of circuit. The resulting sound is exceptional. It sounds 3D. It’s more of everything. It in fact cleans up really nicely with the volume control even though it has plenty more gain on tap. It makes a stock screamer sound very flat and one dimensional. By allowing differing gain rates for the bass response, the bass stays tight and forceful. The mid range and highs are soaked in sustain and saturation. The balance is exceptional.

Red Dirt History

The Red Dirt overdrive began from a quest to find the perfect classic drive sound while also offering new levels of sonic versatility to satisfy a wider range of musical styles. Founder and head engineer Robert Keeley took this idea and combined the great sounds found within his original “Mod Plus” and “Baked” modified pedals and added refinements found exclusively in his custom pedal line. A Keeley designed FET input stage makes this overdrive breakup in a whole new, genuinely “tube like” style that will have your leads singing and your rhythm playing sounding more dynamic and expressive than ever. It all culminates in an overdrive that is superbly dynamic, with crispness and clarity that let players cut through a dense mix, while retaining the plump midrange.
