The single dial controls the preamp gain. Dial it back for “barely-breaking-up” blues tones. Set it half way for a ticket to the majesty of classic rock. Dime it,  for the crunchiest, metal glory you could desire.

An internal trimpot allows you to set the master volume. Set and forget.
