After releasing the Stupid Box, Subdecay came up with a theme for designing new products. "Rethink conventional effects." Instead of starting out with a basic design from the past, why not start from scratch and use the best tools for the job. They went on to release the Liquid Sunshine, Flying Tomato, Quasar, and Blackstar to the product line. 'All four of these pedals started out as a sound in my head, rather than a drawing on a piece of paper.'
