This unit produces more available gain due to the silicon transistors used. It also has a different texture of fuzztone which can be adjusted by the means of an internal trimmer. Thanks to it's carefully selected components, MJM have managed to make the fuzztone, smooth sounding similar to it's germanium version. Though it is a noticeably brighter sounding fuzz, with a little less 'warmth'... we find that there is a very excitable character to its fuzztone that i really like.
MJM Guitar FX introduces the silicone version of their infamous London Fuzz pedal. This fuzz monster is packed with the same high quality, vintage correct components as the original but uses silicon transistors instead of germanium. The result? The MJM London II Fuzz Pedal is still very vintage and dynamic with a brighter, raspier sound that is very usable and responsive. The London II Fuzz is perfect for a darker amp/guitar combination or for humbuckers. Thanks to MJM Guitar FX, there is now a fuzz for everyone with the introduction of the silicone based London II fuzz pedal.
